Description

The Rho Ophiuchi nebula is a beautiful large and bright nebula complex in the constellation Ophiuchus at around 540 light years away (fairly close really!). The nebula boasts a range of colors and is rich in details. An excellent wide field target! Unfortunately, it's way too large for the ~1 degree FOV of my 250 F4 Quattro. So, I decided to frame up a portion of it centred around IC4603 located in the southwest corner of the nebula. This region is rich in blue reflection nebulosity as evident here but shades of reds/oranges/magentas are still present. The hardest part I found was how aggressively to reveal the details and contrast. I reckon I struck a decent balance that's within my data limitations and remains true to the object but I'm open to opinions there.
Maybe best to leave this one to the widefield folks!

Description: Decided to make a few minor tweaks as I appeared to have blown out the region around the brightest star.
